North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un just stated that the “Nuclear Button is on his desk at all times.” Will someone from his depleted and food starved regime please inform him that I too have a Nuclear Button, but it is a much bigger & more powerful one than his, and my Button works!

Created near the end of his “President of the United States” period’s first year, “My Button Works” was Trump’s response to a piece by the “bad boy” of North Korea’s Nuclear Realist school, Kim Jong-un. We watch in awe as Trump walks an atomic tightrope like it was a nonchalant stroll down a Tuesday morning fairway, first taunting the nuclear-armed Kim, and then showing his skill for fresh diplomatic thinking with his subtle use of the magic word “please.”
But there remains the central enigma. Trump seems to speak of a literal “Nuclear Button,” when as he and the rest of everyone knows, there is no such thing, and even if there were, its physical size would have nothing to do with anything. The result is a dreamy phantasmagoria so befuddling that, by tweet’s end, observers can no longer distinguish between madman and truth-teller, between thoughtless belligerence and canny statecraft, or between a global nuclear apocalypse and a giant dong competition.
